Phil and Guitar Merferd Meet a Lovely Family

Phil had stopped to pick up a broken guitar playing Merferd. The wind had been severe enough to break a certain one that he had made from thinner plywood. As Phil got out of the truck, this family pulled up. The father stuck his head out and said are you the Merferd?! Phil said "Yes I am." "I can't believe it!" the father exclaimed.

"Pull over and I'll draw you one" Phil said. The mother and father brought out their little ones to visit. Phil drew a Merferd and handed it to the father and mother. 

​They spoke of how they were going to frame it, and said more than once that they could not believe it. The father also said "my brother is not going to believe this." The family told Phil that he had made their day.

That visit made Phil and all of the Merferds smile. Phil was glad the Guitar playing Merferd had broken in the wind. He never would have stopped, and he never would have made new friends.
